Premature Corneal Ageing
Well, i have something to share. Its regarding your eyes. Bet many of you are using contact lens yah? Wna share this with you, its from a magazine:
About 1 in 2 Singaporeans lead busy lifestyles and wear their contact lenses for more than 12 hours. More than 90% of those interviewed were found to experience one or more symptoms associated with corneal oxygen deficiency. This extended lack of oxygen can permanently contribute to premature corneal ageing, which means it cannot be reversed by means of surgery or medication.
If dryness, irritation or redness are a frequent occurence for you when wearing contact lenses, your eyes could be at risk. Premature corneal ageing can happens when contact lens users wear low oxygen permeability lens for longer hours than recommended by their optometrist. So, let's get lenses with high oxygen permeability! :D
